Everything that happens in our world is an event without emotional impact until we filter it through our perceptions and judgments. Then it has an impact.

Try this experiment

Tell your mind over and over again when you are in a stressful situation that this is only a small thing in the stream of things. In a day, week or year it will have no remembrance. Repeat this to yourself at least 10 times. Your mind will follow your command and minimize the level of emotional stress or reaction in the situation. As your emotions are controlled by your mind, you will find yourself feeling much lighter about the whole thing.
