No Matter what You Call it, We Carry it along with Us 

It is our accumulation of decisions, experiences and memories which sometimes seem to be our foe, not our friend, as we move on through life. 

All this information our minds accumulate and then give back to us whenever we want to do or be something different in our lives. It can sound like your mother or dad talking in your head with all those “rules” you grew up with. Or it can just feel like emotions or reactions to people, situations and places that you really don’t want to have or can seem  unreasonable in the given moment. 

Some of us go through personal growth courses, or counseling, or just come to an awareness of our “STUFF” and this is great. When we learn about what makes us who we are, it often feels great. With knowledge comes power and control over this “STUFF” or so we may think. It feels really great when you get it! 

But the mind, consciously or subconsciously, still keeps all this information in the memory banks (just like a computer) and it will be accessed every time the mind thinks it is important for you to know the information. 

So then the struggle begins: the will versus the mind. Often when you want to be different in a situation, even knowing it is “STUFF”, the mind keeps pushing you into the same patterns of reaction that you know and have done many times before. That is because the same message is sent to you over and over again, based on a past experience (even though you may not even remember it) and is the basis for the fears that stop you from doing it the way you want. 

Some people use affirmations to work at retraining the mind to let go of the old messages and accept new ones. This works but does take consistent effort and time to take effect. Often the amount of energy it takes to consciously keep changing the message becomes exhausting and the subconscious message wins again, creating the same old reaction. 

How Can I Change This? 

There are techniques available that actually allow the mind (computer) to delete the old messages or patterns and even place new ones into it. These techniques are created with hypnotherapy or subconconcious release techniques  and are often known as CLEARINGS or STRESS RELEASE. These techniques can be very effective in giving you the ability to reprogram the brain the way you want it to be.
